Most of my daily use of technology comes from my phone,
but other than that usually comes from school. Whether is using websites like canvas
or learning how to use new technology such as Zoom to a part of classes it’s
all about being adaptable. In my spare I do photography, so I have learned
programs such as Photoshop and light room where I’m constantly learning new
information or new ways to do things in the programs. I usually find sources
such as YouTube as great resources to learn how to do new things since I am a visual
learner.
I feel pretty comfortable with technology since we are
constantly using it in our daily lives. Personally, I try to keep up with the ever-changing
technology, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. However, I’m always willing
to learn and be open to change.
When something doesn’t go according to plan or isn’t
coming out the way that I have planned. The first step that I usually take is
make go to the least or greatest opacity to see what that option would do to whatever
I’m working on, basically trial and error. If that doesn’t work then I will
either look up a YouTube video or go on google to see if I can find a solution.
When technology doesn’t work out the way you wanted it to sometimes you just
have to adapt to the situation or potentially get help from others.
From this quarter I hope to learn about new resources that
I can utilize in my future classroom such as programs, tools, and lessons. Also,
to learn some of the best ways to integrate technology into the classroom in different
ways that are beneficial to students.

Hi Mary, first of all I love the theme of your blog. It has a very professional vibe to it and is really organized and clean looking if that makes sense. I also am a visual learner and so I appreciate youtube as a resources for learning or doing anything. I especially use youtube if I ever have a problem with technology because seeing how to fix a problem rather than reading directions on how to fix it is way easier for me. It's cool to see that you try keeping up with new technology, for me I just prefer not because just the thought of it for me, like you said can be overwhelming. Anyways, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for responding. Visual has always been my strong suit I have a had time with just reading direction unless they are very explicit in detail. I try my best to, but sometimes its hard because there are so many product and programs on the market.
DeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your word art!!! I think that it is awesome that you use technology for photography! Which source or website is your favorite for editing these?
Thank you so much Rachel. For blogger I just use the templates and find something that goes with what I have.
DeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI love your choice in theme for your blog. The dark background really contrasts with the white and neon blue lettering. I think it’s really cool that you’re into photography. Do you post your photos anywhere? Maybe Instagram? I would love to see them sometime! You seem very innovative and creative. I’m excited to work with you this quarter.
Sam Wynne
Thank you Sam glad to working with you too this quarter. I mostly post pictures on my Facebook and Instagram unfortunately, I haven't been able to it as much with school and work though.
DeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I love the contrast that you used for your blog! I am so used to seeing black on a white background so I love that you changed it up and used white on a black background. Very easy to read and it looks super clean. Trail and error is a good use of words when it comes to having issues with technology. This is something that I think most people do, but something that I do very often! Great job!

Thanks Katie, I feel trial and error is usually the first step that people when trying to fix a problem.
